My favorite go to meal for the month at home had to be my rice bowl! All that’s in it is rice, ground turkey and avocado then mix that all up and add salt! It feels you up and tastes really good too! I know that sounds so basic and weird but a lot of my friends swear by this now too. My other go to meal was overnight oats. If I ate breakfast in this past month it was 100% overnight oats. I was so tired of eating eggs every single day for breakfast on the Whole30 so I knew I had to switch it up to keep my sanity this month lol!
For working out in February, I continued with Soul Cycle for the first part of the month! From February 1st to the 19th I went to Soul Cycle 17 times… OMG! That really was my saving grace! I love the atmosphere of cycling so much and after spring break I want to pick back up where I left off! Obviously not that intense but maybe try to cycle at least one to two times a week!
After I finished with Soul Cycle on the 19th I picked up running again! I ran a couple times a week in preparation for a 5k I ran on March 3rd! Picking back up running felt so good, I have always loved running so going back to it after a couple months was nice! One thing I really enjoy about it is trying to beat myself. It makes it a fun game in my mind and in return it actually makes me like running more.
With not eating as healthy this month as last, I could definitely tell a difference if I ate something bad and then worked out after. Which did entice me to eat healthier before a workout but after was a different story LOL. Not that I went crazy bad or anything but I definitely treated myself often this month. It started with Oreo’s and moved onto popcorn and the occasional cupcake. But, I did really try to limit my fast food and I would tell myself I could have an Oreo as long as I made a healthy dinner at home. Which kinda cancels each other out but whatever hahah.
I am happy to say I maintained my weight loss from the month of January. I am really happy with where my body is but I do know I need to cut it back on the sweets now. I am now pretty much starting a two-week long vacation today, which I cannot wait for! While on spring break, I am going to try and keep my healthy eating, but of course will treat myself from time to time! When I get back from my long vacation I know I want to do a better job of eating healthy and meal prepping again!
Until then I am going to live my life
