What is up guys!? Long time no talk, I know! These past couple months have been a world wind – from starting a new position at work, to having drama with my last apartment building, to moving apartments and to traveling as much as I can. I have neglected my blog and I don’t want to do that anymore. This space and everyone who follows me mean so very much to me and I do not want to lose y’all.
Moving was a crazy mess over here to say the least. The drama with my last apartment building left me with a month overlap in my two leases so my move was very slow. I had stuff between both apartments for a full month… to be completely moved into my new apartment is a dream.
Decorating has always been a fun passion of mine. If I had all the money in the world my place would be beyond amazing. But I am over here bawling on a budget as always hahah. I am also very grateful to have a mom that loves repurposing gently loved furniture! If it wasn’t for her I would not have all the furniture I do today. She made my bed, desk, dresser, tv stand, kitchen table, china hutch and had my two gray chairs in my living room upholstered and painted.
I honestly couldn’t tell you what my style is… homey? modern? clean lines? black? cozy? inviting? chic? put together? like guys I honestly couldn’t tell you! I just know what I like and I go for it! I have been very lucky in the past to have roommates who agree with my style/ love and trust my style enough to let me do whatever I want. My new roomie is no exception, we both pretty much have the same exact taste – except I like everything in black and she likes everything white. Hence the couch it’s white because she bought it lol.
My advice to anyone moving or just wanting to redo their space is don’t settle and search for what you want! Pinterest will be your biggest resource and once you find an idea start researching different websites. Most of my ideas come from Pinterest and then I find inexpensive ways to execute my ideas. Wether it’s DIYing it or searching a couple HomeGoods – having a plan in mind is the best! Also, don’t be afraid to return things or change you mind in the beginning. Once You find your style and things you absolutely love, you won’t want to get rid of them. I have legit had the same room set up (give and take a couple items) for the past three years. I literally love everything so much it has moved apartments with me.
Below is everything I could find online or a similar alternative! If you have any specific questions about how I did something please DM me on Instagram, I’d love to help.
